Jinjja Good: A Korean American Fusion Experience – by Caelee Yum

On Friday, March 22nd, the Spice Box will feature a delicious fusion of beloved Korean and American dishes paired with a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere.   The phrase “Jinjja Good” comes from my friends who mix Korean and English words into a Korean style English (Konglish). I will never forget the first time my friend said this and how it perfectly combines our identities as Korean Americans. “Jinjja” means really, so the phrase translates to “really good.” I hope you feel this as you eat and experience this delightful fusion concept.
